Round Setup
On the “Round Setup” tab the basic details of the round are set. For example, Date and Time, Club, Course and default tees for men and women along with game formats and possible contests are chosen here.
- Type in the date and start time or utilize the calendar view.
- Choose to hide scores from the players from up to 3 last.
- Choose correct country, club and course version along with the default tees for men and women.
NOTE: You can choose to play only Front 9 or Back 9 instead of full round.
NOTE: Unsure if the scorecard is up to date? Click “See scorecard” to inspect the situation.
- Choose the primary (and side) game format from the dropdown menu. The game formats are sorted by the number of players in the team.
NOTE: In stableford game mode you can choose from four different variations.
- If Use Handicaps -setting is OFF then all players have playing handicap 0. This is often referred to as “Scratch.” If the setting is ON then you can choose what percentage of the handicap is applied. Also, whether the Course handicap is used (Course rating and slope are applied from the selected course) or just the handicap index is rounded up.
- Side Game allows you to use same scoring for an alternative game format. For example, Stableford can be the Primary Game and Skins the Side Game.
NOTE: There are some limitations to which Game Formats can be used since the scoring must be the same as for the Primary Game. Side Game formats have the same additional settings available if chosen as the Primary Game.
- If your tournament has Closest to Pin, Longest Drive or Straightest Drive contests you can add those here and choose the holes for them. Golf Gamebook App can be used to measure distances enter results and follow the leaderboard.

Branding
Under the branding tab there are options for different branding features for both the Tournament Site as well as the Golf GameBook mobile app. See guide for Branding your tournament.
Entries
Enabling entries tab makes it possible for players to join the tournament via a sign-up link. The link will appear in the Tournament Site. See guide on how to set Entries for players to sign up to the tournament from the Tournament Site.
Players
Players tab gives you an overview of all the players who have signed up or been added to the tournament. You can also search add and manage players from here. For team games, the team creation also happens on this tab.
- You can add unregistered players by typing name, gender, handicap and email. If the email is linked to a Golf GameBook account, it will automatically detect the player and retrieve the correct information according to their profile.
NOTE: Unregistered players don’t have access to the Golf Gamebook App and Scoring, but registered players can insert scores for them.
- Import Players allows you to import a player list from an Excel file.
NOTE: The file needs to be very carefully configured for it to work properly. Therefore, it is recommendable to use the template and insert the players there.
- When you have players at the Player Pool you can select from Extra Info an additional info to be shown next to players Home Club.
NOTE: By utilizing the “Arrived” checker, you can easily follow who has arrived and who is yet to come.

- With the pen icon you can manually change the players’ handicaps and remove them.
- Proceed to Groups and Start Lists
Groups and Start List
On this page you can configure the start settings to your liking. The players are organised to groups and the tournament is started here as well.
1. Choose the start time for the first group along with the start type. The interval between groups is chosen here too.
Note: A Start Tee selector appears if you choose any Shotgun option. You’ll see how many groups are needed and you can choose 1-2 groups to start from each tee.
Shotgun reverse – First group will start from the 1st tee, second group from 18th tee, third from 17th and so on.
2. Create the start list.
- You can create an empty list and drag the players to groups manually as you wish or
- Utilize the player's pool order (for example HCP) by first sorting the Player pool on the right according to some attribute and then clicking on the “Select fill criteria”. You can also choose to fill the groups by random.
NOTE: Always click on the “Update Changes” on the bottom after you have made modifications. Otherwise the changes won’t update to the app or leaderboards.
Note: Removing or adding players is done in the previous Players tab.
Note: To drag the players click on the six-dot icon to the left from player’s name. Clicking elsewhere in the player’s box will allow you to edit their handicap and the tee they’re playing from.
3. Enabling the start list toggle makes the list visible to the players in the app as well as to the tournament site if one is used. Note that this won't allow anyone to insert scores. They'll only see their playing group, start time and starting hole.
4. Player scoring: Enabling this allows players to enter scores in the app and the admin to enter them on "Results and Options" tab. This essentially starts the tournament.
Note: Enabling scoring automatically closes the entries!
Results and Options
On this page you can edit any scores, follow all leaderboards, set the tie-break settings and finally end the round.
1. Enable or disable tied positions. If they are disabled, you can choose countback or handicap as the tie breaking method.
Note: The unchosen tie break method will be used as secondary tie break method. Finally, if the even the winner will be chosen by random.
Note: If something seems delayed with the scores, "Refresh scores" often comes in handy along with the “Update Changes” pop-up mentioned in the previous section!
2. Clicking on the different tabs allows you to inspect leaderboards for primary game, side game and contests.
3. Clicking the pen allows you to edit any score on any hole and even fill in the scores for an entire round. Remember to click save.

5. “Publish Results” publishes the scores (also the hidden holes) to the tournament site and app for all to see.
Note: If you need to go back to edit scores, "Publish Results" can be turned off. After this "End Round" can be turned off and scores altered.
"Send ranking points" is a part of the tour and ranking features. See guide for this.
