Ranking is a system where you can award points from individual Tournaments and collect them in one Leaderboard. Rankings are usually used with Tours. Here you must first create one and set the default point distribution, only after these are set will you find it from Tour and Tournament settings and use it.
- Rankings can be accessed from “TOUR & RANKING” on the left navigation bar
- And then selecting “RANKINGS” and then clicking
- “Create New Ranking”
- On the opening window first write the name for this Ranking. If you intend to use similar Ranking systems in the following years as well, it’s a good idea to add year after the Ranking Name. For example: Golf GameBook Tour 2020
- Ranking must be “Active” to add scores for it and it to be visible on the Tour and Tournament settings Ranking selection. Note: If you have many old Rankings which are not used anymore you can deactivate them and make the list of available Rankings shorter and more manageable.
- Ranking can have its own Logo and this can be uploaded here
- This is the default point distribution, remember that this can be changed for each individual Tournament from tournament settings.
Select how many (best) positions are awarded with points and then how many points a player on that position will get. For example, like in the picture below 1 = 10, 2 = 7, 3= 5 etc. means that the winner will get 10 Ranking points, 2nd will get 7 points and 3rd gets 5 points etc.
If positions are tied also the Ranking points are divided. For example, 2nd and 3rd places are tied in our Tournament, then those points are counted together (7+5 = 12points) and divided for players (12/2 = 6) so both players on the T2 position will get 6 Ranking points. - For Tours lasting a whole season or other longer time period, it might be useful to limit the Tournaments where points are counted from. Here you can select how many best results are counted for the Ranking.
- Created Rankings can be edited from the pencil icon. The settings window will open and adjustments made. Remember to “Save” changes before closing the window.
Note that you can use separate Rankings for Primary and Side Games. For this two Rankings must be created and selected from the Tournament Settings Game Formats for the connections to go as intended.
