There are three key steps where adding new players to the game changes.
1. Before Start List is published
2. After Start List is Published
3. After first scores have been entered
New players can be searched and added only on Step 1. Following steps must be reduced to step1. By “Unpublishing” the Start List before new players can be added.

Adding players varies also a bit between individual and team Game Formats, since with Team Game Formats all players must be on a team before they can be added to start groups.
- Adding new players before Start List has been Published for Individual Tournament
You can search and add new players to the Player Pool normally on the “Players” section.
At “Groups and Start List” section all players on the player pool can be dragged to the Start List Groups and/or new Groups can be created.
Remember to “Save” after new players have been added to the “Start List”
- Adding new players after Start List is Published on Individual Tournament
When you publish Start List and make it visible at the Tournament Site, you cannot add new players to the tournament player pool anymore.
Search and Add features are disabled on the “Players” section.
If there are players still at the player pool, they can be dragged normally to the Start List. They will be updated to the Golf GameBook App as well, when edited Start List is “Saved”
To add new players the “Start List” must be “Unpublished” which returns the Tournament to previous step (1.) and allows changes to be made.
Note: Start List can be “Unpublished” if there are players inserting scores from the Golf GameBook App, they might see a note “Administrator is making changes for the game and scoring is closed.” But after the editing is done and “Start List” “Published” again, scoring continues normally.
- Adding new players after first scores have been entered on Individual Tournament
After players have entered scores from the Golf GameBook App or admin has entered scores from “Results and Options” all changes for players with scores may cause a loss of entered results!
Otherwise if players need to be added, everything works like in previous step (2.) and “Start List” must be “Unpublished.”
Team Game Formats
- Adding new players for team before Start List has been Published
You can search and add new players and add them to team in “Players” section.
At “Groups and Start List” section all teams are on the pool and can be dragged to the Start List.
Remember to “Save” after new teams have been added to the “Start List”
- Adding new teams or players for teams after Start List is Published
When you publish Start List and make it visible at the Tournament Site, you cannot add new teams to the pool anymore.
Search and Add features are disabled on the “Players” section.
If there are players still at the player pool, they can be dragged normally to the existing Team. Team will be updated to the Golf GameBook App as well.
If new players or teams need to be added “Start List” must be “Unpublished” first. This returns the Tournament to previous step (1.) and allows changes to be made.
Note: Start List can be “Unpublished” if there are players inserting scores from the Golf GameBook App, they might see a note “Administrator is making changes for the game and scoring is closed.” But after the editing is done and “Start List” “Published” again, scoring continues normally.
- Adding new players or teams after first scores have been entered
After scores have been entered from the Golf GameBook App or admin has entered scores from “Results and Options” all changes for teams with scores may cause a loss of entered results!
Otherwise if players or teams need to be added, everything works like in previous step (2.) and “Start List” must be “Unpublished.”
