This is a step-by-step guide to creating weekly tournaments with Tournament Manager. Weekly tournaments don't have a start list. Instead, players can sign up whenever and post a certain number of scores during a specific time period.
In addition to the mandatory steps there is some extra tips and information to help you get by most of the common problems. The contents are in chronological order, divided based on the different tabs on Tournament Manager.

Tournament Setup
On the Tournament Setup tab the basic details for the tournament are set.
1. Choose the suitable type for your tournament.
- This guide is for a weekly tournament.
- If your tournament is a basic one round tournament, see guide for Individual Tournaments or Team Tournaments.
2. Give your tournament a name.
3. Choose the maximum number of rounds the player is allowed to enter. The best one will be visible on the leaderboards.
- Note: The Golf GameBook app will take care that no one is able to submit too many rounds.
4. If your tournament is part of a tour, see guide for Tour & Ranking.
5. If your tournament has divisions, see guide for Divisions.
6. Making the Tournament Private prevents it from being visible in the app to other GameBook users who are not in the competition.
Save and proceed.
Round Setup
On the Round Setup tab the basic details of the round are set. For example, Date and Time, Club, Course and default tees for men and women along with the game format are chosen here.
1. Choose the start and end time of your weekly competition.
2. Choose correct country, club and course version along with the default tees for men and women.
- NOTE: You can choose to play only Front 9 or Back 9 instead of full round.
- NOTE: Unsure if the scorecard is up to date? Click “See scorecard” that appears when the course is selected to inspect the situation.
3. Choose the primary game format from the dropdown menu.
- NOTE: In stableford game mode you can choose from four different variations.

You can also choose whether the Course handicap is used (Course rating and slope are applied from the selected course) or just the handicap index is rounded up.
- Note: Weekly tournaments don't have side games or contests.
Save and proceed.
Tournament Site
Tournament Site is your tournament’s very own web site. It is an optional feature. If you want to use an online sign up, the Tournament Site has to be enabled. See Guide for Tournament Site.
Branding
Under the branding tab there are options for different branding features for both the Tournament Site as well as the Golf GameBook mobile app. See Guide for Branding your tournament
Entries
Enabling entries tab makes it possible for players to join the tournament via a sign-up link. The link will appear in the Tournament Site. See Guide for how to set the Entries for players who sign up from the Tournament Website.
- Note: Allow Players to Select Their Teebox - setting allows players to choose from which tee they want to play the weekly tournament from. If more than one attempts are allowed, they all must be played from the same tee!
Players
Players tab gives you an overview of all the players who have signed up or been added to the tournament. You can also search add and manage players from here.
1. You can add unregistered players by typing name, gender, handicap and email. If the email is linked to a Golf GameBook account, it will automatically detect the player and retrieve the correct information according to their profile.
NOTE: Unregistered players don’t have access to the Golf GameBook App and Scoring, but the admin can enter scores for them in the following Results and Options tab.
2. Import Players allows you to import a player list from an Excel file.
NOTE: The file needs to be very carefully configured for it to work properly. Therefore, it is recommendable to use the template and insert the players there.
3. When you have players at the Player Pool you can select from Extra Info an additional info to be shown next to players Home Club, if your entry form had some extra questions.
4. If the Tournament has limited number of entries, the ones who were left out to the queue are added to the “Reserved” tab.
5. With the pen icon you can remove a player.
Results and Options
On the Results and Options tab you can follow the results, add scores to players as well as end the round.
1. By publishing the results you effectively end the tournament. After that, you can send ranking points if your weekly is a part of a Tour that has rankings.
2. Refreshing scores updates the scoreboard.
3. On the "Add round" option you can add a round to a player granted that they have not submitted all their rounds already.
4. Finally, remember to save your changes and once the tournament is open you can finish it here.
