This guide helps you with entries. This article focuses on using entries with individual player tournaments. Entries work a bit differently with team games, so if you're looking for help with them, please check How to use Entries with Team Tournaments.
If you have created a Tournament Site you can switch the “Use Entries” to enabled. This activates the “Sign Up” button in the Tournament Site and allows players to enter the Tournament by themselves.
- Time frame for Entries and Cancellations can be set and chosen dates become visible under the “Sign Up” button on the Tournament Site. If time frames are not set players can Sign Up until the Tournament is ended.
Settings can be used to restrict the number of players who can enter.
- “Set maximum number of entries” and write the maximum number of players who can play on the Tournament. After this you have two options for what will happen for players who Sign Up after max number of Entries reached.
- Activate Reserve list. If for example 100 players are allowed to enter the Tournament, everyone who Sign Up after this will go to Reserve list.
Note: If someone cancel participation the first one from the Reserve list is added to the Tournament. - Close Entries. After max entries reached, no Sign Ups are accepted anymore.
- If you have your own Terms & Conditions which all participants must approve on the Sign Up, you can add the link for the page where your T&C are visible here. All players must then check the "Approved" box before their Sign Up is accepted.
Note: Only players who are in the Player Pool are actually in the Tournament and can be put to the Start List. Players in the Reserve List are in “queue” and are just waiting if a place to the tournament might open up due a cancellation or change in the max number of players.
6. “Allow players to select their tee box” adds a selection of available tees from the course where Tournament is played. This selection is not visible if the settings is off.
7. Custom Questions enables Tournament Organizer to ask questions from all players when they Sign Up. On the Sign Up form which players use when they sign up, mandatory questions are marked with an asterisk (*)
8. More questions can be added from “+ Add Question” and there can be up to 5 questions in one tournament.
9. Questions can be removed from “-“ button in the right end of the row.
10. Answers can be mandatory or optional
11. Answer types are Yes/No and free text. Choose the one which suite better for the question.
